This auction features a rare 1770 edition of John Milton‘s Paradise Lost. This two volume set has its original leather binding and spine intact. There is some chipping and cracking, but overall they present quite well. The pages are in good condition with no jarring damage to report. These two volumes contain the 12 books of poems. This is the seventh edition with notes of various authors, by Thomas Newton DD. These volumes are illustrated with a beautiful frontispiece and an illustration before the start of each book/chapter.
