Description:

295pp. Nice collection from Richard Aldington, who was an early associate of the Imagist movement. His 50-year writing career covered poetry, novels, criticism and biography.  This collection of five stories/novels includes

  • 'Yes, Aunt': A Warning 
  • Now Lies She There: An Elegy
  • Nobody's Baby: A Mystery Story
  • A Gentleman of England: A Speculation
  • Stepping Heavenward: A Record

Dust Jacket Condition: (VGDJ is generally soiled with some darkening to spine. DJ spine has 1/8" loss along top left edge; more uneven chipping to right. Front panel has 1.6" chip at bottom left corner; 1/10" closed tear to bottom right corner. Rear panel has 1/8" chipping continued from spine wrapping around top right edge; bottom edge has two 1/8" chips. Front flap is price-clipped.  

Book Condition: (VG). Modest offsetting and foxing to endpages. Foxing also impacts foredges of pageblock, but remaining pages are clean and white. Faint minor crease to initial pages (through page 8) evident.
