A Fine Korean Octagonal Wood Box with Carved Decoration-19^th C.: 

Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19^th century.  

It’s a rare octagonal shape box and a lid incised with Swastika and yin-yang designs in medallion, 

and with metal hinges around the corners, with brown wood stain on the surfaces

and patina, the insides of the box and lid covered with patinated black stain.

It’s in fine condition, measures approximately 13” x 5.5” x 13” (33 cm x 14cm x 33 cm)
