JOHN LENNON - LIVE ROCK & ROLL REVIVAL & LIVE IN NEW YORK - VHS TAPES 1986/1988

John Lennon and The Plastic Ono Band - Live Rock & Roll Revival Toronto, Canada. Released in 1988 by HBO Video # 0276.  VHS tape of the classic September 13, 1969 concert.    Lennon's complete performance, featuring Eric Clapton, is included in this film, along with Yoko Ono's performance.  The film features footage from the 1969 Rock and Roll Revival in Toronto and performances of songs like "Money," "Give Peace a Chance" and more well-loved favorites in addition to appearances by Klaus Voorman and Alan White.  There are also additional performances by Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard.  There are 6 songs by Lennon, 2 by Yoko and one each by the classic 50's rock and roll artists.

 

John Lennon Live in New York - Released in 1986 by Capital # R0172.     In their last concert together, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, backed by the Ono Elephant's Memory Band, play at a benefit concert for mentally handicapped children.   The Madison Square Garden concert on August 30, 1972 includes performances of the following songs: "Power to the People," "New York City," "It's So Hard," "Woman is the Nigger of the World," "Sisters O Sisters," "Well Well Well," "Instant Karma," "Mother," "Born in a Prison," "Come Together," "Imagine," "Cold Turkey," "Hound Dog," and "Give Peace a Chance."
