This very rare Montral compact was made in the mid 1930s & shows the famous 'Jazz Scene' enamel lid. The whole compact is in excellent vintage used condition showing minor black enamel loss and slight blue discoloration streak near the femme. The Jazz era scene is fabulously Art Deco with raised shiny chromium plated definition of the dancers. The compact is in excellent working condition & it has a powder dispensing mechanism that works perfectly.

A wheel at the side of the powder well moves the mechanism to grind and push powder up. The steel mirror is excellent and throws a clear reflection.

The base opens to reveal the powder well. The powder well wall is inscribed with French American & Canadian patent numbers. All clasps & hinges work perfectly.

A must for the serious collector. This very rare Montral compact measures just over 2" & weighs 56.9 grams.
