Lovely antique art glass moon vase with heavy gold enamel decoration of iris flowers. Has lion and shield hallmark on underside for Smith Brothers of New Bedford, MA. Size: 8.5 in tall and 6.5 in wide. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks, minor wear around neck.
NOTE: Smith Brothers glass was made frm 1874 to 1899. Alfred and Harry Smith had worked for the Mt. Washington Glass Company in New Bedford, Massachusetts, for seven years before going into their own shop. They made many pieces with enamel decoration.
