Kosca vintage 1950s gold filled fountain pen.
La ricopertura in oro delle penne della Koska veniva effettuata a Milano, sempre dalla Kosca, il ramo italiano della omonima ditta fondata da Paul Kohler e Christian Schaefer, a Pforzheim, in Germania intorno al 1920 (Kosca è l'acronimo dei due cognomi).
Nel 1923 aprì la filiale italiana, diretta e condotta da Margarete Schaefer, dal 1923, fino al 2000 circa quando gli eredi chiusero la Kosca italiana, mentre la fabbrica madre, di Pforzheim, chiuse molto prima, negli anni '60.
La Kosca era forse la miglior azienda in Europa per questo tipo di lavorazione, ed anche Aurora, Columbus, Waterman, Parker, Omega, Ercolessi ed altri utilizzarono i servizi della famiglia Schaefer per la produzione delle penne più prestigiose e di alta gamma.
Questa piccola Kosca ora in vendita è databile anni '50, è una penna unisex ma di dimensioni molto contenute, è lunga solamente 102mm, però è dotata di clip, il che la rende assolutamente unisex.
Interamente rivestita in oro, con una bella lavorazione mista, molto fitta, molto ben tenuta, la doratura è ancora pressochè perfetta, come a dimostrare l'assoluta qualità dall'azienda Italo-Tedesca.
Il pennino non è originale, è un "Gran Stilo Iridio", ed il caricamento è a bottone posteriore.
Questa penna è un oggetto vintage, non è stata testata, ed anzi si consiglia un controllo ed un eventuale intervento prima dell'uso.
The gold coating of Koska's pens was carried out in Milan, Italy, by Kosca, the Italian branch of the company of the same name founded by Paul Kohler and Christian Schaefer, in Pforzheim, Germany around 1920 (Kosca is the acronym of the two surnames).
The Italian branch opened in 1923, directed and run by Margarete Schaefer, from 1923 until around 2000 when the heirs closed the Italian Kosca, while the mother factory, in Pforzheim, closed much earlier, in the 1960s.
Kosca was perhaps the best company in Europe for this type of workmanship, and also Aurora, Columbus, Waterman, Parker, Omega, Ercolessi and others used the services of the Schaefer family for the production of the most prestigious and high-end pens.
This small Kosca now for sale dates from the 1950s, and is a unisex pen but very small in size, only 102mm long, but with a clip, which makes it absolutely unisex.
Entirely coated in gold, with a beautiful mixed workmanship, very thick, very well maintained, the gilding is still almost perfect, as if to demonstrate the absolute quality of the Italian-German company.
The nib is not original, it is a ‘Gran Stilo Iridium’, and the filling system is a rear button.
