Handcrafted Wooden Bowl Carved Stained Stash Box With Lid

This is a very cool round wooden stash box that could be used for a variety of things.  We're thinking doodads, trinkets or tobacco products or place it on your kitchen table and put walnuts in it.  The bowl is made of solid wood and appears that it may have been made from a slice of a tree trunk.  

It features a lid and relief carvings all around the surface.  The carvings depict a floral and fruit pattern.  On the lid there are two abstract characters engaged around a hut or a small house.  The bowl is stained in multiple tones of brown.  The bowl and lid together weigh 2lbs, 13oz.

We are not sure of the age or the origin of the bowl although our guess is that it is Caribbean in nature.  The bowl is in excellent condition with one small scrape on the side of the lid that we almost didn't notice.  It polishes up very nicely to a shiny finish.  Please see the photos above.  Thanks!
