Vintage 1960s Royal Blue Double breasted Wool Blazer Sport Coat (40 Reg.) Ivy Atomic Mod Retro Boating

Up for sale is this rare double breasted blazer from the 1960s. Double breasted blazers with three-button closures experienced a come-back in the mid to late 1960s. They were favored by the mod crowd, but could easily crossover to the Ivy set.    The cut of this blazer is an American style with a three-button closure (six buttons), peaked lapels, natural shoulders, a full lining  a slightly slimmer waist, and a single rear vent. The material is a soft wool flannel.  The style, material and cut are typical for the mid to late 1960s.

The color is royal blue. The color was a little difficult to capture in the photos. The second photo shows a more accurate color.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No holes, no flaws, no stains. Only lightly used. From a smoke-free home.

Excellent: Looks nearly perfect; no visible flaws; almost new condition

Very Good: Only a few minor flaws which are not visible or have no effect on the look of the garment

Good: Multiple minor flaws, but may not be very noticeable, the garment is still wearable, but may need minor repair

A few words on sizing:  Since many suits aren't marked, I go by measurements to determine size.  Also be aware that sometimes a suit is marked, but it doesn't match the measurements. If you aren't sure of your size or the size of your own well-fitting jacket, there are a lot of guides on the internet to help you measure yourself and your jackets.  I use "askandyaboutclothes" "how to measure a men's suit jacket" as the basis for my measurements. I’m not affiliated with this guide, it just is the most user-friendly. Please take a little time to check your measurements, before you invest in a suit.

No returns policy:  I carefully inspect each garment and report any flaws to prospective buyers.  I will not accept any returns simply because the buyer failed to read the description or look at the pictures. By reading this you accept the personal responsibility to purchase the item with this disclaimer in mind. But if you have a problem with your order, please contact me right away

That is equivalent to the CO2 expelled by around 42,000 cars each year and the annual water usage of about 174,000 American households, according to U.S. government estimates.”
