A very fine antique 4/4 violin, labeled Giuseppe Ceruti Mantova 1852 (handwritten). The instrument is in ready to play
condition with tears, old repaired cracks on the top, grafted scroll, bushed peg-holes, new ebony set up, new
master made bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent straight high
grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed
maple with matched sides and scroll. Rich golden amber varnish
shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm
and the back 356 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle
bouts: 112 mm; lower bouts: 204 mm. The sound is very deep, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist. Shipping worldwide
