• This is a rare and quite heavy EAPG Ruby Flashed Souvenier Biscuit/Cracker Jar  Pioneer's Victoria (NC-167)

  • MFG:  Pioneer Glass Co.

  • YOP:  Circa 1892-1902

  • Condition:  Excellent overall condition with highpoint wear throughout; minor wear to ruby staining.  Sorry - no lid.

  • Reference:  Encyclopedia of Victorian Colored Pattern Glass, Book 7 Ruby-Stained Glass from A to Z by William Heacock, pages 13, 54 (figures 662-685), 172, 210 and 226.

  • Note:  Almost all early glass was hand made and as a result may have light surface lines and swirls (often called straw marks) which are the result of the hot molten glass interacting with the metal tools and molds.  In addition some items will have included glass bubbles and mold seam lines from the molds.  This is normal for this era glass but will be noted if they are noticeable or unusual.

  • An excellent addition to any collection.  Very hard to find.

  • Review all pictures carefully as they are part of the description.  If you have any questions please contact me before bidding.    Many of the pictures look identical, however, I have taken photos turning the item each time so there are pictures of the item from all sides.
