This is a vintage Timex electric watch, that means it is battery powered but still has a mechanical escapement. You don't have to wind it, but you still get a nice sweep in the second hand and a satisfying ticking sound. They made these for a little while before quartz watches became standard from the early 1970s. New battery, This is a working watch that keeps good time. Case size is 35.97mm without the crown.
