Description

About this bass:
This bass came directly from Fender to my supplier, it has never been sold retail, the protective covers are still on pick guard, pickups, tuners and neck plate.  It was tested by a team of factory technicians, all electronics are working as designed, the neck is straight with no issues, no fret buzz, and the body has no issues.  When we polished the bass we did not find any blemishes, it is in mint condition.

Here is what Fender says about the Player Jazz Bass V:

With its dual single-coil pickups and smooth playing feel, the Player Jazz Bass V is an inspiring instrument with classic, elevated style and authentic Fender bass tone. It’s powerful, rumbling sound is punchy and tight; a growling voice that’s matched with fast, smooth playing feel for a shot of creative inspiration. Ready for action in the studio, or on the stage, the Player Jazz Bass V can take anything you can think of—and everything you haven’t yet.

Respecting our heritage while maintaining our innovative spirit, the two growling Player Series single-coil pickups are packed with legendary Fender bass tone, turned up to 11 for modern ears. Volume controls for each and a master tone control are close to hand to shape the pickups’ powerful voice so you can easily craft your sound.

The “Modern C”-shaped maple neck’s hosts a 9.5”-radius fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets that are ideal for almost any playing style, while the 5-saddle bridge is engineered for accurate intonation and easy action adjustment so you can personalize the feel to your playing style and taste.

Other features include a 3-ply pickguard, synthetic bone nut, vintage-style disc string trees, open-gear tuning machines and a four-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate that marks this instrument as the real deal—as Fender as it gets.

The bass weights 10 pounds.

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.  Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.

What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  Most refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
