Charles Buchan was the first Football magazine to popularize football in England and Scotland with colour pics, interesting articles, spot lights on players and teams and provided a launching pad for many of the future sporting writers such as Brian Glanville. It was launched in September 1951 in a Britain just getting over the war and trying to look forward and not back. Charles Buchan had enjoyed a decent career mostly with Sunderland and his columns were often controversial, designed to promote debate amongst readers thirsting for something different. In total, 240 issues were launched up to 1971 when Goal, Shoot and World soccer dominated the football magazine fraternity. Here you will find all of their issues from the 1950s .
These are 70 year old second hand magazines so are going to have a degree of wear and tear, but nearly all are in very good to excellent condition. Some are marked good, but each one is described below and click on the picture to see the cover. Commences October 1951 all the way through to December 1955.
