This is a vertical strip of the 5pi value in the 1922 pictorial set from the Anatolia area of Turkey (“Turkey in Asia”) that was issued in 1922. The only other denomination in the set listed with an imperforate between error is the 10pi (Scott #83) and a vertical strip of that stamp is valued in the Scott Catalogue as $300.00 (in italics). I have failed to locate the 5pi error offered here in any of the major stamp catalogues so it is possibly a previously undiscovered error. The stamps are mint, never hinged, with full gum, and have a fresh appearance.
