Q&A
Q: "Which PSU do I need? "
A: Suppose your LED light strip has 50 LEDs per meter, with each LED consuming 0.2W of power. Therefore, the power per meter is 10W.If your strip is 2 meters long, then 20W of power is needed. We recommendselecting a power supply with a minimum of 20W (it's advisable to leave a 20% headroomwhen selecting a power supply, so a 24W power supply would be optimal in thiscase).
Q: "Which wire to which connector? "
A: Pay attention to the label of each connector on thePSU:
Input:
L: For the Live wire, usually in Black or Red
N:For the Neutral wire, usually in White
G/⏚: For the Ground wire, usually in Green
Output:
+V: For the Positive terminal of the strip
-V: For the Negative terminal of the strip
Adjustment:
ADJ: Rotate to adjust the output voltage
Turn down any of your powers. Always Safety First!
Q: "How to switch the input voltage? "
A: The default input voltage is 220V. To select the 110V,go find the switch located on the side of the PSU(usually a label with an arrowis there to help), then use a small screwdriver to simply toggle the switch tothe output voltage that satisfies your need.
Q: "How to test the output voltage? "
A: To accurately measure the output voltage, you can usea digital voltmeter (DVM), also known as a multimeter. Make sure to select thevoltage range suitable for your measurement and correctly connect themeasurement probes to the positive and negative terminals of the output powersource. Ensure stability during the measurement process to obtain accuratereadings.
Q: "The output voltage value is not so accurate, what can I do? "
A: Typically, the output voltage fluctuates around 5% ofthe rated output voltage. If the output voltage differs from your desiredvoltage, you can adjust the ADJ knob until you are satisfied with it.
Q: "I do need a PSU with a different output type,where can I find more? "
A: We have plenty of PSUs with various output voltagesand power ratings. Come visit our store to search more. Always a perfect fitfor you! Enjoy your shopping!
