Please notice this is just a quilt TOP: it is NOT a finished quilt, as there is no batting or backing under the pieced fabrics shown in the photos.

These feed sacks seem to have been washed many times, as they are rather thin, mostly those with prints. The solid color pieces are less affected in that regard.

The most visible damaged is the blue bleed stain (bleed acquired from contact with a different item, as this one does not have any fabric that can bleed) on the lower left corner area. There are 2 large rips on the left side, and a couple of blocks, made with older-than-feed sacks cotton, that are stained, due to the printing ink oxidizing (example pic # 23).

There is one busted seam. There are no odors on this item.

It measures, approximately, 78" on the sides; the bed is a queen, 80" by 60".

The piecing was done by hand.

The fabrics are all feed sacks with the exception of the older cotton.

The pattern's name is attributed to Nancy Cabot: Ghost Walk. It is no. 1460 on Barbara Brackman's "Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns".
