When i bought this, it was advertised as a coat hook but i dont see how any more than one coat could hang on it. We used it as a hand towel holder. It works great both horizontally and vertically for a towel rod. The screw holes can line up on a wall stud when hung vertically. Otherwise you’ll likely need to use drywall anchors. Screws do not come with this.
