For a guy who was as good a player as Mr. Francona, it's a wonder that he was shuffled from team to team so much.  With Baltimore, he came in second for Rookie of the Year in 1956.  With Cleveland, he finished fifth for MVP in 1959 (the year this card was printed), led the league in doubles in 1960, and was an all-star in 1961.  For us Red Sox fans, he's revered as the father of Terry Francona.

Please mouse over to acquaint yourself with condition factors.  For that era, this photo is a good action pose.  Corner and edge wear is easily seen.  The front shows hints of original gloss when tilted under light.  But unfortunately, under the light I also see a thread of light creases running horizontally across the card near the bottom.  They show through a little to the back.  The back, nicely centered, has discoloration under the number box.  No gum or wax stains.
