You are bidding on one large format handwriting from 1850-1866 out of Coburg.


Account book/records of Income/orders vfrom master rope maker / Hofseiler Andreas Brotzmann (*29. September 1801, died. 13. April 1861) for the ducal court, and after his death from his Son and successor Burkhard Brotzmann (*6. December 1843, died. 1. March 1907), apparently still under his father's name, because in 1865 Andreas Brotzmann is recorded as a "Hofseiler" in Coburg (which can be proven as early as 1854).


The Rope making was located on Steinweg 23 in Coburg. "From 1641 until the 1930s, the property housed a rope factory. Master rope maker Brotzmann had another shop built in 1869, and further renovation work followed." (Source: wikipedia.)


The vast majority of entries on the ducal court in Coburg related (ruler was Ernst II. of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, 1818-1893): Extremely common ducal construction stable, next to ducal stables, ducal.
