Up for sale is a large scale (approx. #1 Gauge+) kit built model of a French 4-6-2 Express Locomotive used on the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranean run, variants built between1910-late 1930's. (See vintage photo) This a non-powered kit with fixed wheels. It is from an Italian model company,(can't recall the name) probably from the 1980's or so. It features a wood boiler, cab, and chassis, plus some injection molded detail parts plus fine detail white metal casting wheels, drivers, and other assorted metal details; some of which you can see that are not painted. The engine weighs almost 9 pounds and is 28"+ long overall, 8.5" high, and 5.5" wide. It also has some missing parts; one steam dome (sand dome present); one front running light; left side front lead truck brake casting; left side cab steps; 2 left side brake hangars; and left side front steps. Might be a few other smaller details missing, but I'm not certain. All in all the right side of the model displays quite well. The paint job is fair. Modelers note: I will pack in very well in custom robust shipping parcel but likely some small parts (steps) might break off of during shipping and will need to be re-glued. Sorry, no returns and North America shipping only. Pictures are part of the description, plus I'll be glad to answer any questions. I'm thinning my collection so I'm offering this very nice model at a true bargain price.
