This beautiful Chinese, Yixing Pottery, collectors teapot is in excellent condition and ornately decorated with a highly detailed lightly raised dragon, griffin & pearl on the body
The lid which is incredibly ornate - it has a 3D modelled tiger on the top and a serpent or dragon 3D modelled on the inside (of the lid!).

I've never seen anything as ornate as this lid as far as these teapots go.

Quality items as detailed as this are highly sought after and rare to acquire.

Perhaps early to mid 20th Century?

The base has a double seal mark and the handle an impressed mark on the underside.

Excellent condition.

It's larger and much higher quality than the normal small teapots and measures approximately 13.2cm high x 20cm wide including spout and handle.
