For sale is a rare Apple PowerBook 550c, running a 68040 at 33MHz with 12MB of RAM, in it's original packaging.
PowerBook comes complete in its original box with original styrofoam. The box includes original paperwork and software (see photos). Software floppies are still unopened! The box itself is in good condition for its age, and there are no funky smells. The PowerBook is in good condition for its age, and has light signs of use. The screen is in good condition, and displays an even and bright image. The computer boots into System 7.5.3J (Japanese edition). The floppy drive tests good. The original non-functioning batteries will not be included, but the original 550c dark gray battery covers will be included. Although difficult to see, the hinge covers have minor signs of repair (see photos). The bottom rubber pads, as with all computers of this era, have become sticky.
The box will shipped within another box and great care will be taken that it does not get damaged during shipping.
As with all vintage computers, these are devices that will always need special care as they become older. So please keep that in mind.
