An all original horn ring cap or horn button that I believe fits Series 50 models of Cadillac LaSalle automobiles manufactured in 1939 and/or 1940. This horn ring cap or horn button may fit other models of LaSalle vehicles manufactured in different years than that specified above and so please make certain it is the part you need for your project or collection.

Overall, this button is in very good condition - without dents, dings, cracks, breaks, repairs, or paint ’touch-ups’. It still has most of the original factory paint. However, it does have some paint loss due to chips, scratches and scrapes mostly, but not exclusively, outside of the center crest region (see photos). The nickel plating also shows some loss. There isn’t any significant rust or corrosion where the plating has been lost.

The plastic mounting part, to which the metal cap is attached, is damaged. This is quite common in horn buttons of this age and is clearly shown in the photos.

The ring cap cover measures ~ 4” in diameter. Overall, a great looking 84-year old cap that is hard to find in this condition!
