Here is a wonderful Royal Quiet De Luxe typewriter from the 1940s. The typewriter has been fully serviced and restored by a repair tech with over 40 years experience.

This machine features an Elite typeface - the smaller of the two common typefaces. (12 characters per inch vs the 10 characters per inch of the Pica typeface.) While slightly smaller, it's still highly legible and you get more lines on the page with Elite.

The machine was fully taken apart and the following was done to get it back in working order:

Adjusted the return index limit stop for line drop.

Removed ribbon lift guide and fixed a binding with the ribbon vibrator.

Replaced a loose and damaged t3 tension spring.

Fixed a bind from the shift and adjustment motion.

There was no left ribbon reverse. This was fixed and the left gear was replaced.

Everything is now in perfect working condition. This machine is now ready to start typing right out of the box. A brand new cotton ribbon on metal spools has been added as well.

The case is in fair condition, but that's to be expected from a machine that is over 80 years old.

Machine will ship USPS with tracking and insurance and will be properly packaged to ensure safe delivery. Postage is determined by weight and buyer's location. Thank you.
