This is a a set of 4 antique French linen tea towel in thick soft damask with an embroidered monogrammed "G". Blue and Green sets of 2. For use in guest bath, kitchen or as dresser scarf, gifting. Embroidered lettering is large and matching perfectly with the colors.
Condition is very good. See all photos as that is part of the description. Some worn holes at tops of two. There is a black stamp on the backs "M.E. Gentieu" and in more faded smaller print "Harriet D. Dufe". This is a makers mark...I think or owners..what is this? These were carefully stored and clean, ironed. Soft and pliable. Selling as found. Some very slight mustiness from storage that is fading. I have set in sun and will store in cedar chest with lavender until purchase.

These are from an overwhelming amount of linens that I have acquired at estate auction. So many gorgeous linens from all over the world and all carefully stored from a mid century ranch home in a very and old upscale suburb of New Jersey. They traveled widely and seem to have bought linens by the bale load in every corner of world including something called Pina Cloth made from pineapples? Save my store as I will be listing slowly.
