Hello, this is a truly lovely piece and very unique. We'll try to describe it but a picture is worth a 1000 words so please see the photos above. The piece is matted and framed. The art inside appears to be a painting of an elephant in the style of Hindu cultural art. The "canvas" appears to be made of some kind of white textured stone or mineral. It seems to be covered by some kind of clear laminate on which the painting is rendered. The colors are truly vibrant. Including the frame the piece measures 9.25" in height, 11" in width and 1" in depth. The actual art inside measures 6.5" x 4" and was professionally framed with a hanging wire on the back.

To the condition of the piece there is some wear to the frame. You should be able to see this clearly in the photos. There are a couple tiny cloudy spots on the frame and on the left side of the matting there is a slight ripple. These are so subtle you can't really see them in the photo. The art itself is pristine and exquisitely done. Of course this could be set into a new frame as the real feature here is the art inside the frame. A wonderful piece for an eastern decor or an elephant theme. Thanks!
