• 1920x1200 pixel resolution Full-HD-Plus/FHD+ In-Plane Switching/IPS UltraSharp LCD display with anti-glare matte finish. Provides outstanding, world-class dynamic contrast ratios (1000:1 Typical), super-wide viewing angles (170-degrees Horizontal and Vertical), and a rich RGB color gamut for an immersive and pleasing viewing experience - by all measures, on an entirely different level than the non-IPS TFT displays provided with the earlier configurations from Dell (which, to be honest, are functionally OK if you don't mind extremely narrow viewing angles, reduced contrast ratios, and limited RGB color gamut resulting in "washed-out" looking, uninspiring graphics).

• Ultra-high-speed 2400Mbps/2.4Gbps Tri-Band (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz) WiFi-6E Wireless-AX module - a much-needed extension to the standard WiFi-6 technology included with base 5620 configurations. WiFi-6E provides faster speeds, lower latency, improved network security, wider spectrum access, and no overlapping channels (so there's less interference with other nearby users!) for a much better overall wireless internet access experience.

• Gigabit Ethernet USB 3.0 Dongle: Modern super-thin laptops no longer support traditional RJ-45 Ethernet ports, so the standard configurations from Dell (as well as nearly every modern ultra-portable design from every manufacturer at every price point) forces all network and internet communications to occur over a wireless connection. • Integrated Goodix Fingerprint Sensor. Log into Windows simply by placing your finger on the sensor - no more pins or passwords needed! The basic configuration from Dell (and even most mid-range configurations) does not include this useful security feature.

• Future-proof and business-ready genuine Windows 11 Professional Edition (fully licensed and activated!). The basic and mid-range configurations from Dell include only the defeatured "Home" Edition of Windows.

• Genuine Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus (fully licensed and activated!). The basic and mid-range configurations from Dell (in fact, the typical configuration for ALL laptops from ALL manufacturers) include NO licensed Office package - merely a 30-day trial for Office 365, after which you have to pay a monthly or annual subscription fee to continue using it. There are absolutely ZERO monthly or annual subscription fees/payments required for the Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus suite installed on this system - it can be used perpetually via the included genuine Microsoft license!

Functionally, this Dell Inspiron 16-5620 Special Edition is in flawless condition. Cosmetically, even though it is not being delivered to you directly from the factory, it's absolutely indistinguishable from factory new, and is almost certainly the very finest such unit currently available on eBay or likely anywhere else. Some details...

Overall, the chassis/case is in brand new condition - exactly as a typical system would look like immediately after unpacking it for the very first time! In detail: the LCD's top/back cover is in brand new condition, with no scratches/scuffs/dings/dents/cracks/etc. - 10 out of 10. The LCD's front bezel/frame is perfect - 10 out of 10. The chassis base/bottom is perfect, with zero blemishes of any sort - it rates a 10 out of 10. The keyboard is perfect, with zero indications of any use whatsoever (not even from the week I spent installing and configuring Windows 11, the Microsoft Office 2021 Pro suite, Adobe, and all of the 200+ apps and tools!) - 10 out of 10. The Dell LA65NS2-01 65-Watt high-capacity AC adapter is mint. The cooling fan and heat sink assembly are clean and perfect - completely free of the dingy muck buildup you find on used laptops (which can lead to overheating!). The Solid State Drive and the Hard Disk Drive are brand new, with both receiving the highest possible "Health Status" scores as determined by the industry standard CrystalDiskInfo tool. The optical drive is new (only used to install some of the applications via the included DVDs), with all supported media types fully tested and certified. And the integrated Intel AX211 Wireless-AX WiFi-6E plus Bluetooth 5.2 card works superbly, with plenty of speed (up to 2400Mbits/s) and range to satisfy anyone! All internal components (motherboard, CPU, GPU, LCD, memory cards, etc.) have been fully tested, and the entire laptop has been checked out thoroughly using a battery of highly regarded diagnostics and stress-testing suites. This is truly a phenomenal laptop, and you are extremely unlikely to find another one with its superb combination of high-end hardware specs, outstanding, custom-tailored Windows and apps setup, and brand new overall condition at anything close to this very attractive price - it is quite unique indeed!

Unit History: This Dell Inspiron 16-5620 Special Edition is listed as a "New" / "Open Box" unit, and aside from the week or so required to upgrade it and get it set up with Windows 11 Pro, Office 2021 Pro, and the entire best-in-class custom apps suite, it has never actually been used. Our company typically has a dozen or more Inspiron 16s and 17s (mostly 5620s, 5770s and 3793s) in our stable that we use to run standard business productivity tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint typically, plus a few Adobe creativity apps), some engineering tools (mostly MatLab and several chip design, synthesis, and simulation packages), as well as doing some Zoom/Skype video conferencing. This particular unit was a spare system that sat unused in IT storage. Company-wide, all of our Inspiron systems are being reassigned or decommissioned due to an across-the-board upgrade cycle to mostly very pricey Dell Precision models, making available for sale this still-new Inspiron 5620 system with its fresh-from-scratch operating system and apps installation, plus its performance-oriented component upgrades (most importantly, the 12th-generation Core i5 CPU, the Intel IRIS Xe GPU, the huge, lightning-fast M.2 Solid State Drive, the  equally huge SATA secondary/backup Hard Disk Drive, the much larger RAM/main memory, the FHD+ IPS LCD, the radically faster "AX" WiFi-6E module, the backlit keyboard, the fingerprint sensor, and the external optical drive). In sum, this ultra-upgraded Inspiron 16-5620 is configured vastly better than when originally purchased (along with over a dozen similar systems), yet is priced at a fraction of its retail value!

Upgrade Options

The hardware included with this Inspiron 16-5620 Special Edition laptop is what I would consider optimal from a cost-performance perspective (I spent nearly 10 years at Intel architecting and designing microprocessors and entire computing platforms, so I have a better understanding of performance tradeoffs than the average eBay vendor!). I have not over-spec'ed it to make it appear to be something that it's not. It has more than enough compute and graphics horsepower, however, to comfortably run most modern video games at up to medium-ish settings, any of your productivity and creativity applications, any of your entertainment apps (especially streaming players and various multimedia apps), and a variety of AI, simulation, synthesis, machine learning, etc. "next generation" programs and tools you might choose to install after your purchase - so it is fully capable of handling nearly any task you might throw at it! For potential buyers who'd prefer to max out certain specs on this already superbly equipped laptop, I'd be happy to provide any available upgrades to the winning buyer. Prices for items like larger NVMe Solid State Drives (up to 4TB), larger secondary/backup external Hard Disk Drives (up to 12TB), external Blu-ray optical drives, Bluetooth keyboards and mice, spare AC adapters, etc., fluctuate depending on market conditions; however, if you're interested, just send me an email and I can check on current prices for you.

Making a Best Offer

While I generally don't provide automatic "Best Offer" capability in my laptop listings because of the flood of low-ball offers that normally leads to, I will try to respond if you email with an offer and will at least consider it. As policy, I try to price all of my new, open box, or refurbished-to-near-new condition laptops at approximately what the primary components are worth on eBay (motherboard, CPU, LCD, memory, SSD and/or HDD, optical drive, AC adapter, battery, chassis, etc.). Depending on current market conditions, I generally add a bit on top of that (typically around $75) to cover the 12+ hours of labor on average that goes into each laptop to get it configured like you see in the listing: time that's spent on the hardware and firmware upgrades, the Windows, device drivers, and applications installations and updates, and the exceptional, super-intuitive, uber-organized Start Menu configuration. Paying myself roughly $6 per hour for that expert labor does not to me seem excessive! However, I do understand everyone has an affordability limit - especially these days! - so if the upfront price is out of your range, you are welcome to contact me and I can try to work with you to get the laptop down to a price you can afford by trading off certain specs against price/performance and optimize both with your specific needs in mind.

Shipping and Insurance Info

DOMESTIC U.S. SHIPMENTS:

Insurance to cover the replacement cost of an item lost or damaged during transit is not an optional, separately billable line item during checkout. Therefore, all items of sufficient value automatically carry full insurance coverage for US destinations. This coverage is provided via USPS/FedEx/UPS or ShipCover/other third-party, and is already built into the shipping quote - there is no separate fee charged.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:

• First Class International is notoriously slow for certain countries, sometimes taking as long as 8 to 10 weeks for final delivery of your package. Please keep that in mind if you select First Class International for shipment of your item.

• For higher-value items (especially those shipped to countries with spotty international package delivery reputations), you may select to have the "Registered Mail" option added to your shipment if you have  chosen First Class International Mail delivery. Registered Mail provides full insurance coverage for an item - even for First Class International Mail - but adds approximately $12.00 - $13.00 to the cost of standard postage. Please also keep in mind that USPS Registered Mail requires special handling and tracking by the postal and customs services of both the US and your own country, so delivery often takes a few extra days compared to non-registered mail. • For higher-value items, you also have the option of selecting Priority Mail International delivery. Choice of remedy is at seller's discretion, and buyer is responsible for all shipping fees. Additional warranty limitations - These may seem obvious, but here they are anyway...

I generally accept "buyer's remorse" returns of most items if you change your mind about a purchase. The returned item must, of course, be in the exact same condition as when originally shipped, and all returns must be requested within 7 days of receipt of the item. Additionally, all returns are subject to a "restocking" fee of between 8% and 20% of the total sale price plus shipping. This fee covers the time and equipment necessary to fully retest and recertify the item, any potential item depreciation, various fees incurred to relist the item on eBay, and any PayPal fees that are not refunded to the seller even if your payment is refunded. Two-way shipping with full insurance coverage where appropriate is the buyer's responsibility. Please contact me within 7 days of item receipt to request a "buyer's remorse" return.

I will process all damage claims with the carrier and may request that you return the item. Please retain original shipping containers and notify me immediately if you suspect damage during shipment.

Finally, for those thinking about swapping out parts from their old broken Dell and then sending the this unit back for a warranty refund, that is simply, absolutely, 100% not going to work - prior to shipment, this item is extensively photographed (inside and out!), various components with identifying numbers are cataloged, and special UV and other indelible inks are used to mark random internal sections of the laptop. This is a high-value item and any attempts at fraud will be appropriately handled, so don't try!

Payment Details

• PayPal is fine, and funding via your credit card, bank account, PayPal balance, etc. are all OK -- I don't discriminate against any PayPal funding options! Using PayPal is fast, easy, and will ensure speediest delivery. For international shipments, this is the only available payment method!

• If using PayPal, I will generally only ship to confirmed PayPal addresses, although exceptions may be made for those with excellent eBay feedback on a case-by-case basis.

• Credit cards or debit cards processed through eBay's payment system are also fine and have the same advantages and benefits as PayPal payments.

• Cash is OK, but ONLY if you're doing a local pick up. I'm sure you know better than to send cash in the mail!

• If you wish to use any form of payment other than PayPal, please contact me first to check if it is a suitable method, and is allowed by eBay's payment policies. When using a non-PayPal method, there may be a shipment delay to allow time for your payment to be processed (typically several business days). Transaction Feedback

• I typically leave feedback for buyers shortly after payment has been made. If I'm particularly busy - I have a fairly taxing 'day job' designing CPUs and custom data/image processing chips for a very high-end, next-generation medical diagnostic imaging system - that feedback may be delayed a day or two. Please rest assured, though, that I will not forget to leave it!

• eBay bases their fees on a member's detailed feedback ratings for communications, whether the item was as described, shipping costs, and shipping time. Although they profess that scores of 4 or better are acceptable, in practice, any score less than 5 results in significantly higher 'Final Value' fees (up to 20% higher), which in turn leads to higher prices for buyers. • Shipping Time: please keep in mind that I have absolutely zero control over how long the US Post Office or other contracted carriers take to actually deliver a package to you once they have it in their possession. All I can promise is that all items are shipped either the same day as payment is received or at worst, the very next business day. Parcel Post, in particular, can take a week or longer to cover the distance between California and the East Coast, so if that poses a problem for you, you may want to opt for one of the expedited shipping options! For international buyers, please be aware that shipping time is impacted greatly by how quickly the customs agents of your country process your package. If they are particularly busy (for example, during the winter holiday season), the added delay can be quite substantial!
