BMW AIRHEAD, R80, R80RT, R80GS, 800cc PISTONS

These pistons are the earlier higher piston dome, 9.2 compression, iron sleeve cylinder type, (note the higher domes, the later 8.2 compression, nikasil cyl. type were a flat top type piston), so rings should be for iron cylinder use.

To be on safe side I would replace rings whether using on an iron or nikasil cylinder.

Should be able to use these pistons in the later R80's to increase compression ratio and some gain in power.

Pistons are in very good condition, do not have a lot of miles on them, have not been used since mid 90's.
