According to my parts list, the part number is 12A3-6, Spindle and Quill Assembly (Chuck Type). The assembly has been cleaned with degreaser so you can see it condition. The pinion teeth and the splines all look very good. The bearings turn freely smoothly. If this part was going into my machine I would run those bearings. There is some scoring on the quill but it worked smoothly before disassembly. The chuck is rusty, even with a good cleaning it will still have some potting from the corrosion. The good news is the chuck adjusts properly.

So look the photos over carefully!

I am using the Walker Turner document PA-1, published 6-15-56 as my reference for part numbers and descriptions.  I have included photos of the head stock and the machine badge for your reference. It is your responsibility to determine if the part(s) I have listed will fit your machine. I do NOT have any information about part interchangeability.

I welcome questions and requests for more photos. I will respond as quickly as circumstances allow.

I combine shipping if you buy more than one item in a given day and it works to your advantage. If you want me to combine shipping do not pay me until I invoice you. If you do pay me before I invoice you, your orders will be shipped according to the terms of each individual order because you agreed to those terms when you paid. Sometimes it is not possible to combine shipping without risking damage or actually causing higher shipping charges. I do NOT charge packing and handling fees. If I am not able to combine shipping I will contact you to determine the shipping option for you.
