You are bidding on a   VINTAGE TOKEN ISSUED FOR A FAMOUS COMSTOCK SALOON GORGEOUS UN-DUG SPECIMEN variety trade token which says  "BUCKET OF BLOOD SALOON - VIRGINIA CITY, NEV."  in historic comstock town of VIRGINIA CITY, NEVADA.

THE "BUCKET OF BLOOD SALOON" STILL IS OPEN TODAY, AND LOCATED AT "1 SOUTH C STREET" IN THE HISTORIC COMSTOCK TOWN OF VIRGINIA CITY. ACCORDING TO THEIR SIGN, THEY HAVE BEEN OPED SINCE 1876. THIS TOKEN IS VINTAGE, NOT ANCIENT...BUT TOUGHER TO FIND.

I actually talked to a shop owner / proprietor in Virginia City in 1990's who told me he found a small group of these tokens down in basement in a business on C street...so, I am not sure of age......but there are no tokens listed in Nevada token book....so just neat collectible from a famous saloon...possibly issued about 50 years ago for the 100 year anniversary..not sure.

The historic comstock town of Virginia City goes way back to 1860s, and was the largest town in the Comstock district, Virginia City is located not far from sister towns of Gold Hill, SIlver City, and near Carson City, Genoa, Gardnerville and Minden Nevada.

Trade token is brass, round,  about 23mm in diameter  and it is beautiful specimen, uni-facial as made (not an anillo) patina intact. (please see pictures in gallery)

Gallery pictures should show you all you need to know.

While many old Nevada trade tokens can be in "dug" condition, this one is just great
