For sale is my 1993 Volvo 940 Wentworth High Pressure Turbo Estate.
The engine is the 2.0L HPT petrol with a 4 speed + overdrive gearbox. The car runs very well and drives perfectly. It shifts through all gears smoothly with no crunching. The car starts and idles perfectly.
The steering has recently been aligned and the car comes matching Goodyear tires all of which have plenty of tread and are nearly new. The suspension is lovely and cushions the ride nicely - this car has never been used to tow.
The exterior and interior are in excellent condition with only a few age related marks. Overall the car looks great for its age and mileage and has been well looked after and garaged for most of its life. It has never had welding.
The car has 2 owners before myself. It comes with 2 x keys (all locks matching, central locking works), original owners book, sales brochure and Hayne’s manual. It also comes with the rare colour matched cargo cover, original wheel trims (one has snapped) and also a set of original 940 alloys. I also have the original stereo.
There is a pioneer head unit with DAB and I have had the speakers all round which sound great.
The car has just ticked over 100,000 miles which is not even broken in for this type of car.
The car comes with cold blowing A/C and heated front seats. The drivers side unfortunately does not work (I never use heated seats anyway) so have never got it sorted.
The car has 25 service stamps all in the original service manual and a new one as space ran out in the old manual. The last service was a major service on 31/07/2023 @ 99,527 miles. The last MOT passed with no advisories and is valid until 21/02/2025.
I have cherished this car and always rectified any issues that were needed. I have spent £££s on this car, but due to health issues I have moved to an automatic. I would have kept this example otherwise, as this is a solid useable classic. The car will be sold via auction at no reserve as I need the space now and it is not being used and is ready to go to its new home.
The only issues with the car are that the front heated seat doesn’t work, and also there seems to be a tiny amount of oil coming out of the filler cap. This is a small amount, and doesn’t leak out, it’s more of a misting. I changed the cap but it does still happen. Looking in forums this is common on these cars, so never bothered me. It doesn’t loose any amount of oil to warrant refilling - just want to be transparent.
Car also comes with 1/2 tank of Shell V Power, I have only ever used Shell V Power E5 in the car.
