| A lovely, larger than normal, hand-made, Chinese Export silver cocktail shaker, made I think around 1925, in a fusion of the Chinese dragon and Art Deco styles. The essential parts of the cocktail shaker are all here, the cup, the sieve section and the cap. Wrapped around the cup is a repoussé dragon in high relief chasing the pearl of wisdom, which here is the vacant cartouche, whilst the cap and sieve section are plain. Both cup and sieve section have a finely matted ground, whilst the cap and the lip of the sieve section are highly polished. As well as being functional, this would be a statement piece at any bar and would make a lovely addition to any Chinese collection. My pictures show this item in detail.
