A very fine antique 4/4 violin, labeled Carlo Antonio Testore figlio maggiore del fu Carlo Giuseppe in Contrada larga al fegno dell'Aquila Milano 1742. The instrument is in ready to play
condition with tears, old repaired cracks on the top and sides included patched sound post crack, grafted scroll, bushed peg-holes, new ebony set up, new
master made bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent straight medium
grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed
maple with matched sides, neck and scroll. Rich golden amber varnish
shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm
and the back 359 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 171 mm; middle
bouts: 117 mm; lower bouts: 211 mm. The sound is very deep, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist. Shipping worldwide
