Our Reference #: 59956

A fine looking cup & saucer almost certainly made by Samson of Paris as a copy of a Royal Worcester 1st Period piece, similar in pattern to the Lord Henry Thynne examples.

Condition: There is a very fine vertical hairline in the cup's fluting just to left of the cartouche, very hard to see from front without a glass and not that visible from interior. Slight scratch at the ruin scene. Some minor loss of the blue enamel work around the cups cartouche. The 1st period mark is to the cup only, no markings on the saucer. This is sold as a c. 19th Samson copy, not an original c. 18th Worcester example.
