Discover the rich history of Mah Jong with this vintage 1923 Mah Deuck game. This board game is a perfect addition to any game collection and will transport you to the world of ancient Chinese strategy games. The game was manufactured by Levinson and Wilson in San Francisco California making it a rare find for any game enthusiast.  The variation of the name, "Mah Deuck" vs. "Mah Jong" , makes it especially rare in the world of vintage Mah Jong games. It reflects a unique time in the 1920s when game makers couldn't use the Mah Jong name for copyright reasons and, therefore, created other variations for the name. See the last photo for more info on this history.

The game includes the box, tiles, boards (4) and instructions. The tiles seem to be made of strongly pressed cardboard.  The boards are stained wood. I am not sure how many tiles were present originally so cannot guarantee all of the tiles are present. The instructions and tiles are generally in good condition with a few small tears or other imperfections . The wood boards are also in very good condition including the printed decals - except in one place where part of the decal seems torn. The box is in poor vintage condition. It has several tears and the corners, in certain places, have come undone or are open. The printing on the box is faded in some areas.  Sold as is. Be sure to see the pictures as i tried to capture some of the damage present.  Altogether, the game and box are a great opportunity to own something unique and historical.
