This lovely Japanese fine wire cloisonne box is stunningly & intricately decorated showing exotic Japanese patterns on a deep green & black background.
The underside has a lighter green enameling, typical of wares c1900-1920.
This is a highly decorative & unique item which displays incredibly well.
It's in very good to fair condition, as you can see, with only minor age related pitting and wear, as shown.
Mentioned only for accuracy as it doesn't affect the display quality of the piece - the underside has a few tiny unseen dents and the inside surface has a little missing enamel to match, as shown.
It's around 9.5cm wide x 5cm tall.
