4 Digit IN-8 Nixie Tube clock.

Genuine Nixie Tubes!! not glass domes with LED screens inside like some modern copies.

These clock modules were made in China and we have added four New Old Stock IN-8 nixie tubes.
We have tested and run them for a few months with no issues. We also adjusted the circuit so the tubes run with a little less power which greatly increases tube life.

Manufactured in Europe and the USA in the 1960's and 70's and in Russia up to the early 90's, nixie tube displays predate LED and LCD displays and have a real "space age" look about them. Inside a glass tube, ten solid metal cathodes are shaped to form the digits 0 - 9 which, when lit, give off a warm orange glow that can be read from quite a distance. Each nixie tube digit has its own individually formed number so curves can be used and the figure "8" is a figure of eight shape!
The numbers in the tubes are stacked in front of each other and as time passes, the digits seem to jump from front to back.
This 3D adds animated depth to the display.

The clock can be set by buttons on the underside or by using the supplied REMOTE CONTROL.

In default mode, the four nixie tubes shows Hours and Minutes with a flashing (1 second) colon. Please take a look at the video to see this in action.
The second mode shows Seconds and Day of the week (0 - 7)
The third mode shows Year
The forth mode shows Month and Day of the month
A fifth mode scrolls each tube from 0 to 9 to test the tubes are  functioning correctly.

Other advanced features that can be changed are:
12 hr / 24 hr mode
Leading “0” in 12 hr mode
Auto switch on time (e.g. 8am)
Auto switch off time (e.g. 10pm)
Colon on or flashing every second
Scroll through all digits every 1,2,3,5,10,20,30 minutes. This may prolong the life of the tubes

LED light under the tube can be off or set to one of 7 colours, a fade or "carnival" where each tube lights a different colour and has a fade.
There is a button cell battery that remembers the set time and it is very accurate.

The clock has a USB-C connector for power and a white micro USB-C to USB cable is supplied. A standard USB power adaptor is required, please let us know if you want one supplied (at extra cost).

We have written instructions on how to set the time as it's not really intuitive and a table which show how to set the advanced options. The original ones supplied were very hard to read..

Any questions, please ask.
