Also know as HOP's (Hand Over Prints)
This might be the most fascinating and difficult of all the German collective areas. Issued in 1948 for the currency reform that was inforced in all the German occupation zones.
Catalogue used for them is Michel Deutschland Spezial and also sometimes I use the Handbook
I collect this area myself, or to be exact I collect one stamp! The 3 Mark Peace Dove (hence there are very few of this value for sale in my Ebay Store)
The markets is flooded with forgeries of them, non expertized stamps are very seldom okay. These became in demand among collectors from day 1, so forgeries started to be produced within weeks days after they were put in use.
Few areas of philatey have ever been studied like these and the knowledge is constantly changing. Over time there has been a number of expertizer who's word/marks we can feel rather safe about
From the old days, eg Fläschendräger & Dr Herbst and from new days Ballschmitt BPP, Dr Modry BPP, Petzold BPP
All the Bezirkshandstempels I have for sale on Ebay are from my point of view genuine, usually either expertized BPP or older reliable experts As this is a very difficult area and new information is found out all the time I will of course give full unconditional non time limited refund if proven not to be okey
