This cover is postmarked United Nations, New York, on August 13, 1969, the date that the three Apollo 11 astronauts came to New York City, visited the United Nations and received a ticker tape parade and the key to the City.

The cachet is a black & white rendition of the Apollo 11 shoulder patch.

On the front of the cachet is printed (in light blue) "NEW YORK SALUTES APOLLO XI MOON MEN"

The stamp is a 13 cent United Nations "Human Rights Flame" stamp issued in 1968 - SC# 191.
