This unique charm bracelet is a true piece of history. The chain  bracelet is marked 10k gold and the coins do not test positive for gold so assume they are brass. The bracelet measures 6.5" end to end and is designed with a spring ring closure for a secure fit. The coins is  an antique 1856 Dated California Gold 1/2. It was privately struck in the early 20th century. This gold piece is smaller than a dime and weighs 0.61 grams. The dimensions and weight of this piece tend to support the idea that it is made of solid gold but it was also struck in brass. This piece was tested and does NOT test positive for gold. Even in brass these are rare and collectibles coins or tokens. This gold piece is smaller than a dime and weighs 0.61. I grams. This item is from an estate sale I recently had (I have an estate sale business) so I have no further information. Your are buying as is and as pictured.
