FASHIONED OF A STIFFENED BASE THAT IS COVERED IN VELVET WITH A WHITE CORDUROY STYLE RIBBED VELVET TRIMMING THE BACK WITH A BAND RUNNING ACROSS THE OPEN OVAL, ALL OF WHICH IS ACCENTED IN METALLIC BULLION EMBROIDERY WITH STEEL BEAD ACCENTS.
RUFFLES AT THE TOP ARE TRIMMED IN THE MATCHING EMBROIDERY, BOW CLUSTER AT THE REAR DROPS INTO TAILS TO HANG IN THE BACK WITH A DART POINT FINISH.
INTERIOR IS LINED IN A WHITE COTTON AND SILK BLEND ALONG THE EDGES.
CONDITION: THE EMBROIDERY IS HEAVILY BUT EVENLY TARNISHED WITH SEVERAL OF THE STEEL SEED BEAD ACCENTS ABSENT. THE INNER LINING IS SHOWING SOME SMALL FRAY AND I BELIEVE IT WAS FROM PIN PRICKS FROM BEING WORN WITH HAT PINS.
