Antique Meiji-period Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Enamelled Belt, 15 Medallions

Meiji Era (C.1868 - 1912), late 19th century. 

Each panel intricately enamelled in the Ginbari Cloisonne enamelling technique, with coloured enamels set within silver wires on a pressed silver foiled surface. The panels depict an array of natural scenes, including irises, crysanthemums, flowers and birds set in brass backing with a brass chain.

Very good condition, some hairlines to the buckle front. 

70cm long end to end.
