This displays beautifully. I purchased at an estate sale, and it was tagged as a Canterbury Shelf. Not my area of expertise and not sure how to tell. From my research it looks like the Canterbury collection was made by Ethan Allen. Again, I do not know for sure so please look at all the photos and please be your own judge about everything. It displays beautifully and once it is displayed on a wall; the places of wear are not as noticeable. It is a used, vintage wooden shelf. Beautiful design that reminds me of an Georgian style shelf. One of the decorative pieces under the shelf, there's a crack in the wood. A close-up picture was taken of this. Pictures taken of all sides/angles, including close-ups that will hopefully speak for the description and condition. Excluding the metal brass bar pieces and measuring the wooden part of the shelf only, largest part, top to bottom, measures approximately 9 1/2 inches. Across the top, approximately 21 1/2 inches. And front to back, measuring the shelf at the top, approximately 7 inches. Maybe someone could use a wood filler where the cracked place is on the piece under the shelf and also there's a cracked place, from age related wear and use, on the side top. A close-up was taken of this too. It doesn't look to go all the way through. But the decorative piece below the shelf looks to be a deeper crack. I ALSO just noticed a crack beside the decorative piece below the shelf on the side. Again, maybe some type of filler or ? repair could be done if someone would like. Some age-related wear and use through the years. But, in my opinion, still displays beautifully. It still has the metal pieces attached on the back to display or attach to a wall. The scale shows it weighing over 4 pounds (4.333) Different shipping options available. Because of the places mentioned, a low starting bid. No reserve. Thanks for your interest and looking.
