Antique Post-Edwardian Sterling Silver Ladies Purse - Birmingham 1914

A charming sterling silver ladies’ purse with Chatelain chain (ring missing)

 

This was bought from my grandmothers 21^st birthday in 1914 and has her initials “H W” engraved on the front.

 

Opens and closes as it should, but some distressing with age to the lining of purse, as can be seen in the photos.

Hallmarked, this purse has a very appealing design and would polish up nicely if desired or left with the original patina it has through age.
An unusual gift for someone special or a personal indulgence.
