This is a WW II M-1 infantry helmet liner from the Seaman Paper Company, Chicago, Illinois (government contractor) with a single-herringbone nape strap. The contractor information of the nape strap is very faded but the Seaman stamping in the dome of the liner is distinct. It has the raised edge rim and single-herringbone webbing with olive-drab painted "A" washers. The outside paint is factory original. There is some wear to the paint and one small crack (see photo) on the liner edge. The webbing shows some slight rust (from a missing head band) and some fraying in places.
