Strength: Strong, with no noticeable bend from side-to-side and in the camber.
Spiccato: Excellent with a crisp sound. Spiccato was played closer to the middle of the bow, away from the hand.
Comfortability: Comfortable and well balanced. The bow weighs 81.6 grams,
well within the weight range of a standard cello bow.
Ease of playing: Easy to play with consideration to the camber.
Camber: The
bow follows the camber and is even throughout the draw.
Full Sound: Throughout the bow it provides you with a full sound. Pairs nicely with a cello of great sound production.
Depth:
Capable of producing rich, nuanced sounds. Any perceived lack of
strength, which doesn't exist in reality, is compensated through its capabilities and varieties of
texture and sound.
Eras: Suited for all eras. Recommended for Baroque, Classical, and Romantic works that require dramatic changes in dynamic.
Comments: This bow is excellent
for light and quick bow work - well suited for techniques like ricochet
or sautille. Easy to handle when cycling through quick changes of bow
techniques or volume.
Player's Feeling: "Though perhaps not as flashy as high end cello bows, it has a wealth of nuance. It's strong and reliable."
