1953 Press Photo East Germans line up for food distribution in West Berlin

This is an original press photo. Germany - occupation - A line of several hundred East Germans wended its way Monday to a food distribution center on Reichenburg Strasse in the Kreuzberg section of West Berlin. At least 100,000 East Germans came across the Soviet zone frontier Monday morning to various food center in West Berlin to get the free food drawn from stocks West Berlin has been hoarding there since the Russian blockade in 1948-49Photo measures 8.5 x 7.5inches.
