Antique 1920's Art Deco

WMF IKORA Lidded Bowl GERMANY

We are pleased to offer this wonderful mixed metal IKORA lidded bowl. It captures the essence of early Art Deco design. This piece was made in the 1920’s by the famed Germany company WMF, known previously as Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik. The base is clearly marked with the WMF Ikora marks. This well known German tableware manufacturer was founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany.

Ikora is the style and pattern of this jar. The name 'Ikora', comes from a plant with brilliantly hued flowers endemic to south east Asia. These true Ikora pieces are rare and hard to find.

The construction of this piece is brass with a turquoise-copper patina. It measures 4.25” tall with a 6.25” diameter. Condition is great with expected patina from age and a few small dings. We have just lightly cleaned this jar and will leave any further surface work to the next owner.

Add this wonderful WMF IKORA lidded jar to your collection!
