Shure went back to the drawing board when they designed the TwinPlex. Using a superhydrophobic dual diaphragm microphone configurable with attenuating capsules (included), the TwinPlex has a highly robust cable and adjustable boom which can be set up on the right or the left. The mic has excellent self  gain and can withstand astounding sound pressure. But if you're reading this, you knew that already.
